Her Majesty The Queen has approved the Prime Minister’s recommendation that MVF should receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category this year, earning MVF one of the highest business accolades possible in the UK, for the second time.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is a prestigious award that is respected in the UK and overseas, and is awarded to businesses for outstanding achievement in four categories: International Trade, Innovation, Sustainable Development and for Promoting Opportunity through social mobility. It has been operating in various forms since 1966, developing over the years into the current format.
Upon winning this prestigious award MVF has been invited to a Royal Reception at Buckingham Palace later in the year, hosted by Her Majesty The Queen. At the reception MVF CEO Michael Teixeira will be given a Grant of Appointment and a commemorative crystal bowl. In addition we shall be able to fly The Queen’s Award flag at our main office.
The Queen’s Award boasts global recognition and is valid for five years.
Michael Teixeira, CEO of MVF: “I am incredibly proud that we have been awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade by Her Majesty The Queen. To be recognised by the most prestigious awards in the UK is a real honour, and one that I share with every single person in the company who has helped to make MVF such a vibrant and successful international business.”
The awards are conferred by the reigning British monarch on their birthday. This year, Friday 21 April 2017, which is the birthday of Her Majesty Elizabeth II.
