MVF Raises £2,500 for Local Charity’s Tech Programme

This year, MVF teamed up with local charity organisation Castlehaven, which provides key services and support to people in the borough. Keen to give something back to the community in Kentish Town, MVF agreed to donate time and staff members’ expertise to assist with everything from email campaigns to sprucing up the garden.

After one such visit to help with the website, it became apparent that the organisation was in desperate need of a professional web developer to make their site responsive and mobile ready, so the charity committee decided to set the extra challenge of raising the £2,500 they needed to pay for it… in just three months!

MVF’s staff pulled out all the stops, organising bake sales, rounders tournaments and barbecues in order to raise the funds, and through all this hard work (and delicious food!) managed to hit the target.

The CSR team popped down the road to the Castlehaven HQ to present the staff with a giant cheque and were met with a very happy team who are looking forward to revamping their online services.

Tricia Richards, Operations Manager at Castlehaven notes: “The £2500 will be paying for our website to become responsive, pay for a new bespoke webpage for the Castleyouth Project and also go towards advertising on Facebook and Twitter to raise our profile online.”

Jared Keleher, Chairman of the CSR Committee comments: ‘I am so proud of the achievements of the CSR committee and all the staff who came to our events and donated.

It is great to be able to help Castlehaven with their website and all our staff understood the urgency of getting this work done for them.

For a tech company, there is nothing worse than thinking of an unresponsive website so every time we needed people to reach into their pockets we just got them to imagine what it would be like to have a website that would not load into a mobile browser and the money quickly totted up!’.
